ehind the Christmas tree, a lanky shadow curved up the wall and onto the ceiling. Two bright eyes peered at her through the branches of the tree and- Oh! It extended a shadowy hand to wave. Santa had come back!

t stepped through the tree as if it wasn’t there, hat-covered horns scraping the ceiling.

ven so, it looked like it needed a meal. The creature was incredibly skinny, almost as if it was- no, it was a skeleton, at least partially.
